Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms under which you may cancel services and request refunds on the RENT HOUSE platform.

1. Membership Plan Cancellation

You may cancel your membership plan at any time from your dashboard. Upon cancellation, your membership benefits will continue until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be applied after cancellation.

  • Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time before the next billing cycle.
  • Annual plans can be cancelled at any time; however, refunds for annual plans are subject to the conditions outlined below.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are available under the following conditions:

  • Within 7 days of purchase: If you are not satisfied with your membership plan, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the original purchase date, provided you have not used any premium features (such as unlocking phone numbers or creating rent agreements).
  • Service not delivered: If a paid service (such as rent agreement delivery, painting, or cleaning) was not delivered as promised, you are eligible for a full refund.
  • Duplicate payment: If you have been charged more than once for the same service or plan due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Membership plans where premium features have already been used (e.g., phone numbers unlocked, featured listings activated).
  • Rent agreement fees once the agreement document has been generated and delivered.
  • Service fees (painting, cleaning) once the service provider has been dispatched or the service has been completed.
  • Partial usage of a membership plan beyond the 7-day refund window.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your RENT HOUSE account and go to your Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to My Transactions or Billing History.
  3. Alternatively, send an email to support@renthouse.co.in with the subject line "Refund Request" and include your registered email address, transaction ID, and reason for the refund.
  4. You may also contact us at +91 98765 43210 during business hours (Mon–Sat, 10 AM – 6 PM IST).

5. Refund Processing Time

Once your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
  • The refund will be credited back to the original payment method (bank account, UPI, credit/debit card) used during the transaction.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

6. Cancellation of Services

If you have booked a service (rent agreement, painting, cleaning) and wish to cancel:

  • Before service dispatch: Full refund will be provided.
  • After service dispatch but before completion: A partial refund may be provided after deducting applicable charges.
  • After service completion: No refund will be provided.

7. Razorpay Payment Gateway

All payments on RENT HOUSE are processed securely through Razorpay. RENT HOUSE does not store your credit/debit card details or banking information. For any payment-related disputes, you may also contact Razorpay support directly.

8. Changes to This Policy

RENT HOUSE reserves the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
